Cayenne wins the Artisti award at the 52nd edition of the Festival international de la chanson de Granby
We are pleased to announce that Baie-Comeau native, Cayenne won the Artisti Prize of $ 1000 awarded as part of the 52nd edition of the Festival international de la chanson de Granby (FICG).
“It’s jazz, it’s funk, It’s country, it’s blues… all of this wrapped in stories that are each as punchy as the next. Native of the land of whales, Cayenne unpacked her luggage on stage and examines its contents with you. An exercise loaded with sensitivity, humor and spontaneity.” [1]
Needless to say, the members of our jury were charmed!
“A Brilliant and fiery performer! Her talent has transcended the screen, the internet, into my living room!” France D’Amour
We invite you to listen and experience her talent for yourself ! [Semi-final 4 broadcast on August 21 at 7:30 p.m.]
Committed partner of the Festival international de la chanson de Granby, in addition to awarding the Artisti Prize to one of the 24 semi-finalists of the Grand Concours Hydro-Québec, Artisti also offered to all of these performers a training session on collective management for performer’s rights, in order to raise awareness of the importance of their neighboring rights and copyright laws.
Let us recall that despite the challenges brought by the current context of the pandemic, the FICG team has mobilized to maintain its programming and to highlight more than 80 artists!
